Born and raised in Fremont, California, Xyler began training Muay Thai in 2010 at MAC Self Defense in Union City.

In pursuit of culinary arts, he moved to San Francisco, where he worked at restaurants such as Benu, Rich Table, and was part of the opening team at Ernest. While cooking, Xyler continued his Muay Thai training and met Dave and Joe at Rise Combat Sports (formerly Fight and Fitness) in 2013.

Xyler became one of their first students when they opened CMA in 2019. Later, he became the gym's first official employee after deciding to walk away from cooking to train and compete full-time.

Now Xyler is focused on teaching, training, and making yearly trips to Thailand to learn and share with his team.
